CLG Missions exists to fulfill the vision of the Church of the Living God: Rescuing the Perishing and Caring for the Dying. We do this by transforming lost people into disciples of Jesus Christ.
CLG Missions has three divisions:
- Foreign Missions
- Home Missions
- Local Missions /
A. FOREIGN MISSIONS
The CLG has four Branches in
RESCUE
As part of our Foreign Missions activities, we are currently sponsoring children orphaned by the HIV pandemic in
B. HOME MISSIONS –
This division deals with outreach and church planting within the
C. LOCAL MISSIONS – HYATTSVILLE BRANCH
This division deals with Local outreach within each Branch. At our Hyattsville Branch, we have the following ministries:
1. Care Ministry
The Care Ministry is the small group ministry of the Church of the Living God. Through this ministry we reach out and connect with all who attend, are members, or are just visiting a worship service or ministry event at our Church. The small groups – Care Groups - meet in the warmth and comfort homes. In such a setting one has the opportunity to experience the love of God through His family, grow into the image of Christ through Bible studies, and be equipped to fulfill God’s call/plan for his/her life. 2. Hospitality ministry
The CLG Hospitality Ministry is made up of Ushers and Parking Lot Attendants. They work with the Care ministers of duty to prepare the hearts of worshippers, both first-timers and old-timers so that they can encounter God and have their needs met at the Church of the Living God. 3. Evangelism Team
“…How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard..?” (Romans 10:14). The mission of the Evangelism Team is to tell all people about the love of God and Jesus’ sacrifice in order to set them free from bondage to sin give them everlasting life. The Team meets fortnightly to pray and share this Good News in our community. To join the Team, contact……….
4. Follow-up & Discipleship
The Great Commission given us by Jesus is to make disciples (followers of Jesus) of all people. Our mission is to welcome new Christians into the Family of God and walk with them, teaching them and modeling the life of Jesus Christ, so that they in turn can become disciple-makers. 5. Good Samaritan Ministry
The Good Samaritan Ministry is part of the caring arm of CLG, through which we reach out to the needy in our community. Activities include running an emergency food pantry, serving hot meals to the homeless and ministering at shelters.

Every Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 NOON
6. CLG Transportation Ministry
The goal of the Transportation ministry is to make sure that no one misses worship because of lack of transportation to church. We offer transportation services to all (within reasonable distances from church). Please call the church office if you need a ride or wish to serve as a driver.
7. CLG Intercessory Prayer Ministry
We cannot accomplish the supernatural task given to us with complete dependence on God. A number of Prayer Teams exist at our local Hyattsville Branch to support CLG missions work, locally, in the
· Wednesday Intercessory Prayer – 12:15 PM-2:00 PM
· Tuesday After-Hours Prayer - 9:15 PM-10:15 PM
· Missions Intercessory Prayer – Every other Wednesday 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
